In April, Mark and I managed to sneak away for a quick weekend in Nashville. I had just finished my physical therapy from the car accident and Mark was gearing up for some work travel — there was only a small window of opportunity to go and when my Mom graciously agreed to keep the girls, we took it. We had a doozy of a 2017 and getting out was good.
In the car, I started a little cross stitch of a house. I designed it in Illustrator on my computer and it was a great small travel project.
Took a while to finish as per my usual tendency to pick up and drop projects as interest and time allow but I finally finished it in September and popped it into a frame leftover from the garage sale.
I posted it in my facebook stitch group and it got 302 likes! I don’t post much in public social networks so I was thrilled.
*Someday* (heh) I’d love to stitch more little houses — I love the details that can really make them a personal portrait. Dammit, where is my rich benefactor that can just allow me to make stuff for people all day?!!
